William Branham blamed the death of his wife, Hope, and his daughter, Sharon Rose on his decision to respect his mother-in-law’s request not to associate with Pentecostals.[1] But this conflicts directly with his attendance at the First Pentecostal Baptist church prior to 1933 and also with the first church he pastored being named “The Pentecostal Tabernacle.”

    1935 City Directory

The 1935 Jeffersonville City Directory also lists "The Pentecostal Tabernacle" at 804 Penn
