The Hypocrisy of Donny Reagan in regard to William Branham's failed prophecies
Donny states his belief on the source of false prophecy in this quote.
“Now when people come to me with dreams or visions or prophecy or whatever more I'll lay it up I'll give them the amount of time if they designate a certain amount of time well within six months this so this will happen or nine months or a year whatever generally I'm a man of grace if they say a year I'll give them a year three a year six you know you're in six months or something like that but if it don't come to pass I am going to confront them and tell them they got a lying spirit on them because God don't lie.”[1]
We agree prophecies should be tested per the scriptures.
1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 states:
Don’t despise prophecies, but test all things. Hold on to what is good.[2]
How does William Branham's prophecy of the Brown Bear fair when passed through Donny's test?[3]
Donny's test can be summarized in three questions.
1) Is the person prophesying?
2) Has sufficient time been given for it to come to pass?
3) Did it come to pass as prophecied?
Donny's test would evaluate William Branham's Brown Bear prophecy with these three questions:
1) Did William Branham prophesy he would get a Brown Bear? Yes
2) Was time given for the prophecy to come to pass? Yes
3) Did the prophecy come to pass? No
Summary
Donny makes it clear in his statement what his test is for prophecying. Donny's test for the Brown Bear prophecy results in a verdict that William Branham had a lying spirit on him when he made the prophecy.
Conclusion
Donny does not evaluate William Branham's prophecies with the same standard he does for everyone else or he would have to declare William Braham had a lying spirit on him when he spoke the Brown Bear prophecy.
