William Branham's Travels
Visiting the graves of the founders of the great religions
WMB said, "I've visit the grave of most all the founders of a religions; the Mohammedan, and also to--to the grave of Buddha, and Confucius, and many of the philosophers." (53-0405S) Was WMB ever in China? That is where the grave of Confucius is? There is no grave of Buddha. He was cremated. Muhammad is buried in the Al-Masjid al-Nabawi ("Mosque of the Prophet") in the city of Medina in Saudi Arabia. When did he visit these graves?
Around the world seven times?
William Branham talked a lot about going overseas but most of the trips he planned were cancelled. He stated that he had been around the world seven times but we have been unable to confirm this. It is possible that he went around the world once, when he had meetings in India in 1954. However, it appears that he considered a trip across the Atlantic Ocean to be a trip "around the world".
He was never in Austraiia or New Zealand and the trip to India was his only trip to Asia. He was in Africa twice to the best of our knowledge and was in Europe a couple of times. Did he travel around the world seven times? No!
Here are the trips of William Branham that we are aware of:
- 1950 (April) - Trip to Europe (England & Finland)
- 1951 - Trip to South Africa
- 1954 (September) - Trip to India
- 1965 - Trip to South Africa (no meetings held)
