	Noah was 500 years old when his 3 sons were born and the Flood started when he was 600 years old (or in year 1656, if you count Adam's creation as year 0). It is interesting to note that Methuselah died the same year that the Flood started.		Noah was 500 years old when his 3 sons were born and the Flood started when he was 600 years old (or in year 1656, if you count Adam's creation as year 0). Given that Noah is 500 years old at the end of Genesis 4 and that he was subsequently told to build the ark after this, he was told to build the ark at sometime after his 500th buirthday.

			It is interesting to note that Methuselah died the same year that the Flood started.
